Jacob Franz specializes in the sale of commercial real estate with a focus on single-tenant properties and retail centers throughout the Southeast. Prior to joining ARC Realty, Jacob practiced law at Maynard Cooper & Gale, representing clients including MetLife, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, Regions Bank, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama. His practice encompassed defending transactions involving various asset types, including, among others, real estate investment trusts (REITs), collateralized- debt obligations, and mortgaged-backed securities. In total, Jacob actively litigated cases involving more than $1 billion in sought damages. Jacob now seeks to leverage the understanding of market forces, attention to detail, and strong communication skills he developed through litigating and negotiating on behalf of publicly traded companies to effectively represent parties in commercial real estate transactions.
Jacob earned a B.A. from Azusa Pacific University and received his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine School of Law, graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. Jacob is an active member of the International Conference of Shopping Centers (“ICSC”).
